The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मध्ये त्रेतायुगस्यास्य जातस्त्वं रिपुमर्दन ।
पुनरद्याष्टमे वर्षे तत्रैवोपरि भूभृतः ।
मिलितोऽभूद्भुशुण्डो मे तथेवाजररूपवान् ॥ १९ ॥

madhye tretāyugasyāsya jātastvaṃ ripumardana |
punaradyāṣṭame varṣe tatraivopari bhūbhṛtaḥ |
milito'bhūdbhuśuṇḍo me tathevājararūpavān || 19 ||

It is now only eight years past that (or the eight years since) I met with him again on the same mountain, and found him as sound and same as I had seen him long before.
