The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

केवलं चिति विश्रम्य किंचिच्चेत्यावलम्बिनि ।
सर्वत्र नीरसमिव तिष्ठत्वात्मरसं मनः ॥ ८ ॥

kevalaṃ citi viśramya kiṃciccetyāvalambini |
sarvatra nīrasamiva tiṣṭhatvātmarasaṃ manaḥ || 8 ||

Let it rest on the intellect only, with a slight intelligence of itself; and taste of no joy except that of its self-delight.
