The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्रस्थो विगतासङ्गो जीवोऽजीवत्वमागतः ।
व्यवहारमिमं सर्वं मा करोतु करोतु वा ॥ ९ ॥

tatrastho vigatāsaṅgo jīvo'jīvatvamāgataḥ |
vyavahāramimaṃ sarvaṃ mā karotu karotu vā || 9 ||

Being in this state of mind, and devoid at all attachment to any thing, the living man becomes as a dead body; when he is at liberty to pursue his worldly callings or not.
