The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.43.14

पौरुषं यत्नमाश्रित्य प्रोल्लङ्घ्येन्द्रियपर्वतम् ।
संसारजलधिं तीर्त्वा पारं गच्छ परं पदम् ॥ १४ ॥

pauruṣaṃ yatnamāśritya prollaṅghyendriyaparvatam |
saṃsārajaladhiṃ tīrtvā pāraṃ gaccha paraṃ padam || 14 ||

It is only by dependence on your manly powers, that you can surmount the insuperable barriers of your sensual appetites; and then by crossing over the ocean of this world, reach to the other shore of supreme felicity.
