The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अशरीरामिति श्रुत्वा गिरमारक्तलोचनः ।
धैर्यमासादयामास शिखण्डी स्तनितादिव ॥ २८ ॥

aśarīrāmiti śrutvā giramāraktalocanaḥ |
dhairyamāsādayāmāsa śikhaṇḍī stanitādiva || 28 ||

Hearing this oracular voice, the youth wiped his eyes red hot with weeping; and held his silence like the screaming peacock at the loud sound of the clouds.
