The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.48.27

तदर्थं मा कृथा व्यर्थं विषादं मरणे पितुः ।
अवश्यभाव्यस्तमयो जातस्याहर्षतेरिव ॥ २७ ॥

tadarthaṃ mā kṛthā vyarthaṃ viṣādaṃ maraṇe pituḥ |
avaśyabhāvyastamayo jātasyāharṣateriva || 27 ||

Do not therefore wail at the demise of thy father, but know like the rising and falling sun, every thing is destined to its rise and fall.
