The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भगवन्सर्वधर्मज्ञ संशयो यो महानयम् ।
हृदि व्यावर्तते लोलः कल्लोल इव सागरे ॥ १ ॥

bhagavansarvadharmajña saṃśayo yo mahānayam |
hṛdi vyāvartate lolaḥ kallola iva sāgare || 1 ||

Rama said:—Venerable sir! that art acquainted with the mysteries of all things, I have a great doubt swelling in my breast like a huge surge of the sea.
