The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथासुरगुरुत्वं स शुक्रः कालेन लब्धवान् ।
भृगुरप्यात्मनो योग्ये पदेऽतिष्ठदनामये ॥ २५ ॥

athāsuragurutvaṃ sa śukraḥ kālena labdhavān |
bhṛgurapyātmano yogye pade'tiṣṭhadanāmaye || 25 ||

In course of time Sukra obtained the preceptorship of the demons, and Bhrigu remained in his patriarchal rank and authority among the sons of men.
