The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निद्राकालानुभूतेऽर्थे निद्रान्ते प्रत्ययो हि यः ।
स स्वप्नः कथितस्तस्य महाजाग्रत्स्थितेर्हृदि ॥ २० ॥

nidrākālānubhūte'rthe nidrānte pratyayo hi yaḥ |
sa svapnaḥ kathitastasya mahājāgratsthiterhṛdi || 20 ||

The reliance which is placed in things seen in a dream, after one wakes from his sleep, is called his waking dream, and lasting in its remembrance only in his mind.
