The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.111.29

मृते भ्रातरि भृत्यादौ क्लेश आक्रियतेऽनृतः ।
तत्स्वचित्तं स्वचैतन्यव्यावृत्तात्मेति मे मतिः ॥ २९ ॥

mṛte bhrātari bhṛtyādau kleśa ākriyate'nṛtaḥ |
tatsvacittaṃ svacaitanyavyāvṛttātmeti me matiḥ || 29 ||

It is in vain that we are overwhelmed in sorrow, upon the demise of our brethren and dependants; since we know it is the nature of the mind, to be thus deluded from its state of pure intelligence to that of error.
