Svatattva) refers to “one’s own soul”, according to the commentary on the 11th century Jñānārṇava (verse 2.2), a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by Śubhacandra.—Accordingly, “Brother, deceived by living beings, you do not obtain happiness, you do not contemplate your own true nature [com.—svacaitanya—‘own soul’] , you do not perceive the sorrow of life”.
