Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. धनुर्ग्राहश्चार्जुनः सव्यसाची धनुश्च तद्गाण्डिवं लोकसारम् ।
अस्त्राणि दिव्यानि च तानि तस्य त्रयस्य तेजः प्रसहेत को नु ॥ ३० ॥

dhanurgrāhaścārjunaḥ savyasācī dhanuśca tadgāṇḍivaṃ lokasāram |
astrāṇi divyāni ca tāni tasya trayasya tejaḥ prasaheta ko nu || 30 ||
