Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. निर्गुणः परमात्मेति देहं ते व्याप्य तिष्ठति ।
तमहं ज्ञानविज्ञेयं नावमन्ये न लङ्घये ॥ ८ ॥

nirguṇaḥ paramātmeti dehaṃ te vyāpya tiṣṭhati |
tamahaṃ jñānavijñeyaṃ nāvamanye na laṅghaye || 8 ||
