The Garga-samhita Verses 1.15.52-53, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-गर्ग उवाच
हे गोप गुप्तम् आख्यनं
कथनीयं न च त्वया
परिपूर्णतमः साक्षाच्
छ्री-कृष्णः भगवान् स्वयम्
असङ्ख्य-ब्रह्माण्ड-पतिर्
गोलोकेशः परात् परः
तस्मात् परो वरो नास्ति
जातो नन्द-गृहे पतिः
śrī-garga uvāca
he gopa guptam ākhyanaṃ
kathanīyaṃ na ca tvayā
paripūrṇatamaḥ sākṣāc
chrī-kṛṣṇaḥ bhagavān svayam
asaṅkhya-brahmāṇḍa-patir
golokeśaḥ parāt paraḥ
tasmāt paro varo nāsti
jāto nanda-gṛhe patiḥ
śrī-gargaḥ uvāca—Śrī Garga said; he gopa—O gopa; guptam—secret; ākhyanam—story; kathanīyam—to be told; na—not; ca—also; tvayā—by you; paripūrṇatamaḥ—the Supreme Personality of Godhead; sākṣāt—directly; śrī-kṛṣṇaḥ—Śrī Kṛṣṇa; bhagavān—the Lord; svayam—Himself; asaṅkhya—countless; brahmāṇḍa—of universes; patiḥ—the master; goloka—of Goloka; īśaḥ—the master; parāt paraḥ—greater than the greatest; tasmāt—than Him; paraḥ—better; varaḥ—husband; na—not; asti—is; jātaḥ—born; nanda—of Nanda; gṛhe—in the home; patiḥ—the Lord.
English translation of verses 1.15.52-53:
Śrī Garga Muni said: O gopa, do not tell this secret. Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the original Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, who is the master of countless universes, the king of Goloka, greater than the greatest, and the Lord than whom there is no better husband, has taken birth in Nanda's home.
