The Garga-samhita Verse 1.15.54, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 15 (Revelation of the Universal Form to Nanda’s Wife) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-वृषभानुर् उवाच
अहो भागय्म् अहो भाग्यं
नन्दस्यापि महा-मुने
श्री-कृष्णस्यावतारस्य
सर्वं त्वं वद कारणम्

śrī-vṛṣabhānur uvāca
aho bhāgaym aho bhāgyaṃ
nandasyāpi mahā-mune
śrī-kṛṣṇasyāvatārasya
sarvaṃ tvaṃ vada kāraṇam

śrī-vṛṣabhānuḥ uvāca—Śrī Vṛṣabhānu said; ahaḥ—ah; bhāgaym—good fortune; ahaḥ—ah; bhāgyam—good fortune; nandasya—of Nanda; api—also; mahā-mune—O great sage; śrī-kṛṣṇasya—of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; avatārasya—descended; sarvam—everything; tvam—you; vada—please tell; kāraṇam—the reason.

English translation of verse 1.15.54:

Śrī Vṛṣabhānu said: How fortunate! How fortunate for Nanda! O great sage, please tell everything of why Śrī Kṛṣṇa has descended to this world.
