The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 2.15

स्तेयादिभिश्चाप्यभितश्च नष्टं स्वस्थं स्वचक्रं परचक्रमुक्तम् ।
क्षेमं सुभिक्षं च बभूव तस्य पुराण्यरण्यानि यथैव राष्ट्रे ॥ १५ ॥

steyādibhiścāpyabhitaśca naṣṭaṃ svasthaṃ svacakraṃ paracakramuktam |
kṣemaṃ subhikṣaṃ ca babhūva tasya purāṇyaraṇyāni yathaiva rāṣṭre || 15 ||

On every side theft and its kindred vices disappeared; his own dominion was in peace and at rest from foreign interference; prosperity and plenty belonged to him, and the cities in his realm were (healthy) like the forests.
