This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 87.22

श्रुत्वा च सो महर्षिः संशयशल्यानन्तकनिर्घाती ।
प्रतिभणति सत्वसारो आनन्दम् असंगवचनाये ॥ २२ ॥

śrutvā ca so maharṣiḥ saṃśayaśalyānantakanirghātī |
pratibhaṇati satvasāro ānandam asaṃgavacanāye || 22 ||

When he heard this, the Great Sage, who had utterly destroyed the sting of doubt, the Choice Being, with unimpeded speech made reply, (22)
