This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 51.21

+ + + ūrdhvapādo adhośiro |
yo bādhate pūrvakarisya rājño |
asmādṛśo tuhya kṛtaṃ na jāne || 21 ||

May he fall headlong to that hell, where the floor is made of knives, and have his feet up and head down, who hurts the king our former benefactor and is not grateful to you for what you have done for us. (21)
