This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 35.77

एषो हि त्रीहि क्रमेहि त्रैधातुकं लंघिया अनवशेषं ।
शिवम् अमरं निरन्तरायं अधिगमिष्यति उत्तमं धर्मं ॥ ७७ ॥

eṣo hi trīhi kramehi traidhātukaṃ laṃghiyā anavaśeṣaṃ |
śivam amaraṃ nirantarāyaṃ adhigamiṣyati uttamaṃ dharmaṃ || 77 ||

“For he with three strides has traversed the whole threefold world. He will attain the highest dharma, which is blest, immortal and irresistible. (77)
