The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
देशकालक्रियाद्रव्यभेदवेदनचेतसाम् ।
अज्ञानमात्रादितरा सत्ता नान्यास्ति नो पुरा ॥ ४१ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
deśakālakriyādravyabhedavedanacetasām |
ajñānamātrāditarā sattā nānyāsti no purā || 41 ||

Vasishtha replied:—Yes, because all our objective knowledge, of the distinctions of time and place and of actions and things in our minds; is the effect of our ignorance of the subjectivity of the soul, beside which there is no other substance—before the liberated spirit.
