The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिद्व्योमात्मावभासस्य नभसः सर्गरूपिणी ।
कृता पृथ्व्यादिकलना मनोबुद्ध्यादिता तथा ॥ ७ ॥

cidvyomātmāvabhāsasya nabhasaḥ sargarūpiṇī |
kṛtā pṛthvyādikalanā manobuddhyāditā tathā || 7 ||

The light of the Divine soul, shining amidst the vacuity of the Intellect, is termed cosmos or the universe; consisting as it is supposed, of matter, mind and faculties.
