The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विद्धि तद्रूपमेवेदं भेदवेदनमित्यपि ।
चित्यन्तमागतः कोऽन्यो नाम स्याद्भेदवेदने ॥ ४१ ॥

viddhi tadrūpamevedaṃ bhedavedanamityapi |
cityantamāgataḥ ko'nyo nāma syādbhedavedane || 41 ||

Know our knowledge of the difference of objects (as the one is immaterial and the other material), is equally untrue as that of our waking and dreaming states; because it is impossible for us to conceive any other thing as matter, to consist in the immaterial Intellect.
