The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सोन्नतं जगदिवोरुतटाकं वारिणा विवलितं तिमिरेण ।
प्रस्फुरन्ति च युगान्त इवैता विद्युतः शफरिका इव लोलाः ॥ २४ ॥

sonnataṃ jagadivorutaṭākaṃ vāriṇā vivalitaṃ timireṇa |
prasphuranti ca yugānta ivaitā vidyutaḥ śapharikā iva lolāḥ || 24 ||

Behold the dark and rainy cloud on high, appearing as another world, to submerge the earth under its flood; and threatening it with its flashing and forky lightnings, and gliding as frisky shrimp fishes in the etherial ocean.
