The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदं चेतनमेवाहं नाहं देहादिदृष्टयः ।
इति निश्चयवान्योऽन्तर्न स मुह्यति कर्हिचित् ॥ ३२ ॥

idaṃ cetanamevāhaṃ nāhaṃ dehādidṛṣṭayaḥ |
iti niścayavānyo'ntarna sa muhyati karhicit || 32 ||

That I am my inner intelligence, and not the outer body or its sensation, is a belief which serves as an antidote, against the poison of all griefs and sorrows.
