The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एषा पिशाचाजनितस्य जातिः प्रोक्ता मया ते समयानपेता ।
पिशाचतुल्यः सुरलोकपाललोकेषु जातोऽहमिति प्रसङ्गात् ॥ ८५ ॥

eṣā piśācājanitasya jātiḥ proktā mayā te samayānapetā |
piśācatulyaḥ suralokapālalokeṣu jāto'hamiti prasaṅgāt || 85 ||

Now Rama, I have fully related to you about the origin and nature of the Pisacha race in the course of this discourse; and then as I had become as one of them, in the regions of the regents of the celestials.
