The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.34.28

यथाभ्रे लक्ष्यते वृक्षगजवाजिमृगादिता ।
असन्निवेशाकृतिनि सर्गाहन्ते तथापरे ॥ २८ ॥

yathābhre lakṣyate vṛkṣagajavājimṛgāditā |
asanniveśākṛtini sargāhante tathāpare || 28 ||

As the formless smoke or vapour, presents the forms of elephants, horses, &c., in the empty clouds; so doth the unsubstantial spirit of God, represent the formless ego, tu and all things beside in itself.
