The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दिवा प्रीततरौ मित्रे यामिन्यामिष्टदंपती ।
प्रभादीपाविव श्लिष्टौ न वियुक्तौ बभूवतुः ॥ ४ ॥

divā prītatarau mitre yāminyāmiṣṭadaṃpatī |
prabhādīpāviva śliṣṭau na viyuktau babhūvatuḥ || 4 ||

They passed the day as the two loving friends together, and spent the night as a wedded couple; and never separated from the company of one another either by day or night.
