The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

राजन्राजीवपत्राक्ष ममेदं वचनं श्रृणु ।
निशायां प्रत्यहं तावत्स्थित एवाहमङ्गना ॥ २ ॥

rājanrājīvapatrākṣa mamedaṃ vacanaṃ śrṛṇu |
niśāyāṃ pratyahaṃ tāvatsthita evāhamaṅganā || 2 ||

Hear me, O lotus eyed prince, she said, what I tell you in good earnest; that since I am obliged to become a woman every night, and continue to be so for ever more.
