The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.100.20

नैतज्जलमिति ज्ञानात्संवित्तेः प्रविलीयते ।
इदं चित्तमिति प्रौढं यदज्ञानमलं हृदि ॥ २० ॥

naitajjalamiti jñānātsaṃvitteḥ pravilīyate |
idaṃ cittamiti prauḍhaṃ yadajñānamalaṃ hṛdi || 20 ||

As the knowledge of mirage removes the error of water in the sandy desert, so the knowledge of the mind as gross ignorance, removes the erroneous mind from the inward seat of the heart.
