The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.6.55

फलानि पुण्यपापानि मञ्जर्यो विभवश्रियः ।
अज्ञानेन्दूदये नैता योषिदोषधयः स्फुटम् ॥ ५५ ॥

phalāni puṇyapāpāni mañjaryo vibhavaśriyaḥ |
ajñānendūdaye naitā yoṣidoṣadhayaḥ sphuṭam || 55 ||

Our acts are the roots of our repeated births as the stem of the tree is of its shoots; our prosperity and properties are the flowers of this arbor, and our virtues and vices are as its fruits of good and evil.
