The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ज्ञाने प्रकटतां याते ज्ञेयं व्ययमुदेत्यलम् ।
रवावभ्युदिते भूमावालोक इव निर्मलः ॥ १९ ॥

jñāne prakaṭatāṃ yāte jñeyaṃ vyayamudetyalam |
ravāvabhyudite bhūmāvāloka iva nirmalaḥ || 19 ||

Upon appearance of the light of knowledge, the knowable comes to appear of itself; as the appearance of sunlight in the sky, shows every object on earth below.
