The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.54.30

प्रशान्तवातहरिणमाशादिगणगामिनम् ।
चिन्तया हृदयं निन्ये दूराद्रज्ज्वेव कीलकम् ॥ ३० ॥

praśāntavātahariṇamāśādigaṇagāminam |
cintayā hṛdayaṃ ninye dūrādrajjveva kīlakam || 30 ||

He restrained his breath (by means of his pranayama or contraction of breathing), and the fleet stag of his respiration from its flight to all sides; and he restricted his heart from its inclinations, and fixed it fast as by a rope to the post of his bosom.
