The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विचारसारक्रकचेन चित्तविषद्रुमं त्वद्भुतमद्रिकल्पम् ।
आशामहाशाखमशङ्कमेनं छिन्धि प्रसह्यात्र विकल्पपत्रम् ॥ ६५ ॥

vicārasārakrakacena cittaviṣadrumaṃ tvadbhutamadrikalpam |
āśāmahāśākhamaśaṅkamenaṃ chindhi prasahyātra vikalpapatram || 65 ||

Delay not to lop off the huge trunk of the poisonous tree of avarice, which has risen as high as a hill in the cavity of thy heart, with the sharp saw of thy reason; nor defer to put off the big branch of thy hope, and prune its leaves of desires, without the least delay.
