The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.36.64

सुखदुःखक्रमः प्राप्य भवन्तं परिनश्यति ।
प्राकाश्यमासाद्य यथा तमस्तेजोऽथवा हिमम् ॥ ६४ ॥

sukhaduḥkhakramaḥ prāpya bhavantaṃ parinaśyati |
prākāśyamāsādya yathā tamastejo'thavā himam || 64 ||

The succession of pain and pleasure, ceases to be felt by one who feels thee within himself; as the shades of darkness, the twinkling of stars, and the coldness of frost, cease to exist in the bright sunlight.
