The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यावद्विस्मृतवानात्मतत्त्वं मूढो भवद्भवान् ।
तावत्तव मनोव्यालो बभूवाभ्युदितस्ततः ॥ ४४ ॥

yāvadvismṛtavānātmatattvaṃ mūḍho bhavadbhavān |
tāvattava manovyālo babhūvābhyuditastataḥ || 44 ||

As long as you are forgetful of the soul, you must remain in utter ignorance; and so long will you continue to be tortured by the dragon, residing in the recess of your heart.
