The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कृशोऽतिदुःखी बद्धोऽहं हस्तपादादिमानहम् ।
इति भावानुरूपेण व्यवहारेण बध्यते ॥ २९ ॥

kṛśo'tiduḥkhī baddho'haṃ hastapādādimānaham |
iti bhāvānurūpeṇa vyavahāreṇa badhyate || 29 ||

Men are busied in worldly affairs with such thoughts, as these that, 'I am poor and bound in this earth for my life; but I have my hands and feet wherewith I must work for myself'.
