The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.98.27

अथ क्षणेन स पुमांस्तान्यङ्गानि यथाक्रमम् ।
संत्यज्य नियतेः शक्त्या क्वापि गन्तुमुपस्थितः ॥ २७ ॥

atha kṣaṇena sa pumāṃstānyaṅgāni yathākramam |
saṃtyajya niyateḥ śaktyā kvāpi gantumupasthitaḥ || 27 ||

Thus the man having severed the parts of his body one after another, was now ready to remove himself elsewhere with his legs only, by the decree of his destiny.
