The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.5.19; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
हरौ श्रुति-शिरः-शिखा मणि-मरीचि-नीराजित
स्फुरच्-चरण-पङ्कजे’प्य् अवमतिं व्यनक्त्य् अत्र यः ।
अयं क्षिपति पाण्डवः शमन-दण्ड-घोरं हठात्
त्रिर् अस्य मुकुटोपरि स्फुटम् उदीर्य सव्यं पदम् ॥४.५.१९॥

yathā —
harau śruti-śiraḥ-śikhā maṇi-marīci-nīrājita
sphurac-caraṇa-paṅkaje’py avamatiṃ vyanakty atra yaḥ |
ayaṃ kṣipati pāṇḍavaḥ śamana-daṇḍa-ghoraṃ haṭhāt
trir asya mukuṭopari sphuṭam udīrya savyaṃ padam
||4.5.19||

English translation

An example:
Bhīma, forcefully placing his left foot, fearful as the punishment of Yama, on top of Śiśupāla’s crown, kicked him decisively three times. This Śiśupāla had insulted the Lord whose lotus feet are lit by and worshiped with the rays emanating from the crest jewels of the Vedas (the Upaniṣads).”
