Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. यत्समर्थं पाण्डवानां तत्करिष्यामि मा शुचः ।
सत्यं ते प्रतिजानामि राज्ञां राज्ञी भविष्यसि ॥ ११६ ॥

yatsamarthaṃ pāṇḍavānāṃ tatkariṣyāmi mā śucaḥ |
satyaṃ te pratijānāmi rājñāṃ rājñī bhaviṣyasi || 116 ||
