Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. यादृशेनेह रूपेण योग्यं दातुं वृतेन वै ।
तादृशं खलु मे दत्तं त्वं तु तन्नावबुध्यसे ॥ २५ ॥

yādṛśeneha rūpeṇa yogyaṃ dātuṃ vṛtena vai |
tādṛśaṃ khalu me dattaṃ tvaṃ tu tannāvabudhyase || 25 ||
