Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. उञ्छन्ति सततं तस्मिन्ब्राह्मं फेनोत्करं शुभम् ।
अमृतं ब्रह्मणा पीतं मधुरं प्रसृतं दिवि ॥ ३७ ॥

uñchanti satataṃ tasminbrāhmaṃ phenotkaraṃ śubham |
amṛtaṃ brahmaṇā pītaṃ madhuraṃ prasṛtaṃ divi || 37 ||
