Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. बालश्चन्द्रं मातुरङ्के शयानो यथा कश्चित्प्रार्थयतेऽपहर्तुम् ।
तद्वन्मोहाद्यतमानो रथस्थस्त्वं प्रार्थयस्यर्जुनमद्य जेतुम् ॥ ३३ ॥
