शौनक उवाच ।
जनमेजयस्य के पुत्राः पठ्यन्ते लोमहर्षणे ।
हरिवंशस्य शेषस्य कथां पापप्रणाशनीम् ।
कस्मिन्प्रतिष्ठितो वंशः पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम् ॥ १ ॥
