भिन्न-दन्तस् तु चाणूरः
क्रोध-युक्तो मदोत्कटः
मुष्टि-द्वयेन श्री-कृष्णं
तताड हृदि मैथिल

bhinna-dantas tu cāṇūraḥ
krodha-yukto madotkaṭaḥ
muṣṭi-dvayena śrī-kṛṣṇaṃ
tatāḍa hṛdi maithila

bhinnabroken; dantaḥteeth; tu—indeed; cāṇūraḥCāṇūra; krodha-yuktaḥangry; madotkaṭaḥferocious; muṣṭi-dvayena—with both fists; śrī-kṛṣṇam—Śrī Kṛṣṇa; tatāḍa—hit; hṛdi—on the chest; maithilaO kin gof Mithilā.

English translation of verse 5.8.5:

O king of Mithilā, mad with anger, and his teeth now broken, with both fists Cāṇūra pounded Lord Kṛṣṇa's chest.
