The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 9.8

यान्तौ ततस्तौ सृजया विहीनमपश्यतां तं वपुषा ज्वलन्तम् ।
नृपोपविष्टं पथि वृक्षमूले सूर्यं घनाभोगमिव प्रविष्टम् ॥ ८ ॥

yāntau tatastau sṛjayā vihīnamapaśyatāṃ taṃ vapuṣā jvalantam |
nṛpopaviṣṭaṃ pathi vṛkṣamūle sūryaṃ ghanābhogamiva praviṣṭam || 8 ||

As they were going, they saw him bereft of all ornaments, but still radiant with his beauty, sitting like a king in the road at the foot of a tree, like the sun under the canopy of a cloud.
