This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 75.118

येषां च एवम् आसी ममैष भार्या ममैष पुत्रो वा ।
धीता वा हयपृष्ठाद् भ्रान्ताः महिं अभितो नुदिताः ॥ ११८ ॥

yeṣāṃ ca evam āsī mamaiṣa bhāryā mamaiṣa putro vā |
dhītā vā hayapṛṣṭhād bhrāntāḥ mahiṃ abhito nuditāḥ || 118 ||

Those of the merchants who thought, “Here is my wife, here my son or here my daughter,” were shaken off the horse’s back and thrown to earth. (118)
