This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 53.104

पश्याहि काशिवर्धन मातापितुगारवस्य निष्यन्दं ।
यथा समूहतं मृगविषं सुचरिततेजेन सुवकेन ॥ १०४ ॥

paśyāhi kāśivardhana mātāpitugāravasya niṣyandaṃ |
yathā samūhataṃ mṛgaviṣaṃ sucaritatejena suvakena || 104 ||

“Behold, you who are the stay of Kashi, what the result of reverence shown to mother and father is, and how the poison was dispelled by the power of my own good conduct. (104)
