This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.98

शरणं वादिशार्दूलं श्रेष्ठी तत्र उपागतः ।
सुजातदर्शनत्वं च श्रेष्ठी पर्यधिगच्छसि ॥ ९८ ॥

śaraṇaṃ vādiśārdūlaṃ śreṣṭhī tatra upāgataḥ |
sujātadarśanatvaṃ ca śreṣṭhī paryadhigacchasi || 98 ||

graciously appearing to him and his folk, the merchant went up to the Refuge, the tiger in eloquence, and learned from him what a good son should believe. (98)
