Some of the kings address the monks with the term bho[1] and also exchange greetings with them (S.S.). Kings such as Pasenadi of Kosala, Seniya Bimbisara of Magadha and king Munda address the monks as bhante and offer salutation (abhivadeti)[2] because of their deep faith. The monks address them with heir title maharaja. The prince of Jayasena is addressed as rajakumara by the monk Bhumija, who is in turn addressed as bho Bhumija.[3]
