The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.190.39

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
उपदेश्योपदेशात्म ब्रह्म ब्रह्मणि संस्थितम् ।
बोधात्मनि न मोक्षोऽस्ति न बन्धोऽस्तीति निश्चयः ॥ ३९ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
upadeśyopadeśātma brahma brahmaṇi saṃsthitam |
bodhātmani na mokṣo'sti na bandho'stīti niścayaḥ || 39 ||

Vasishtha replied:—The lesson that we preach, is to know one's self as Brahma and resting in the spirit of Brahma; and this knowledge is sure to release the soul, both from its longing for liberation, as also from its dread of bondage in this world.
